Bluray Tuesday: Featuring IT, 68 Kill & Friend Request

January 9th 2018

Our favorite day of the week returns for the second time this year. This week brings my favorite film of 2017 IT to shelves with awesome retailer exclusives.  I fought for this film to make the number one or at least two spot on our The Overlook Theatre top 10 list but was sadly outvoted. Crazy right?!? I don't think it's even in our top 3 but in my opinion it's king of 2017! Looking forward to the next Stephen King adaption. If you missed our review of IT check it out here. Only at Best Buy there will be exclusive steelbook packaging for this film. Target's exclusive includes Derry postcards and a cool lenticular slipcover. Later this year there will be a  director's cut of IT with more footage not shown in theaters  if you can hold out a few months to own. Next  up is another favorite of mine of 2017 68 Kill being released from Scream Factory. Looking forward to rewatch it and check out the bonus material. Teen supernatural thriller Friend Request hits shelves today as well. This film was released in the UK a year before us in the US got it so if you haven't checked it out it's a pretty decent film. I still personally enjoy Unfriended a bit more but I'd recommend a rent on this one. Rounding out this lite but awesome release week is Jackie Chan's more serious action role in The Foreigner and teen criminals on the run drama November Criminals. So what will you buy, rent or just skip this week? Let us know in the comments. Until next week!
