Bluray Tuesday Featuring: Blood Fest, The First Purge & Tales From The Hood 2

The first Bluray Tuesday of October is here! This month starts off with many Steelbook releases and new horror titles for the Halloween season. First up is one of my favorite films of the year, Blood Fest, if you missed our review you can check it out here. I highly recommend this one. Next up is The Purge prequel, The First Purge. We also reviewed this film so if you missed it you can check it out here. Best Buy will carry an exclusive steelbook for this edition as well. If you a fan of the first three Purge movies and like matching steelbooks, Best Buy re-released the rest of the series in 4k Ultra HD with covers to match the new prequel. Tales From The Hood 2 is next to hit shelves today. This long awaited sequel is one I'm looking forward to, I loved the first one and horror anthology films so I'm excited. Best Buy releases even more steelbooks exclusives today, including the Sicario sequel and horror films IT (1990) and Beetlejuice. Only at FYE is a limited edition steelbook for Trick R' Treat, one of my annual Halloween films. Rob Zombie's Halloween joins the steelbook family with its release today as well. Scream Factory releases Feral starring Scout Taylor Compton. There are many releases today I'm sure something for everyone. So what will you buy, rent or skip this week? Let us know in the comments. Beetlejuice (Steelbook): Best Buy - $12.99

In the surreal, wonderfully cartoon-like comedy Beetlejuice, a childless couple, Barbara and Adam, move to the country only to be killed in a car accident while passing over a quaint covered bridge. Their ghosts return to their beloved Victorian home, and find the Handbook for the Recently Deceased, which not only lets them know they're dead, but comes in handy when they learn that they can continue to live in their house, even though a new family—from the land of the living—is moving in. The new owners, fresh from the city, are quite a strange group themselves, and include the overpowering hipster mom Delia, her pompous SoHo interior designer Otho, her meek husband Charles, and their morose teenage daughter Lydia, who befriends the ghostly couple. Though the threesome attempt to scare Delia from ruining the house with redecoration and her unpleasant personality, their attempts fail. As a last resort, they call upon the services of the demented, terrifying, but hilarious "bioexorcist," "Beetlejuice".
