Bluray Tuesday Featuring Of Unknown Origin, Red Sparrow & Game Night

May 22nd 2018

Bluray Tuesday creeps up on us once again. This week is a bit lighter on the horror releases, but still has some nice genre film titles. Let's start with Scream Factory, which releases the very overdue home invasion film, Of Unknown Origin for the first time on Bluray with new scan and bonus material. It's joined by 1960's Italian creepy castle film The Vampire and the Ballerina. Russian spy thriller Red Sparrow, hits shelves today. This film was pretty entertaining with twist and turns throughout. I can't wait to rewatch it in 4K. Best Buy will carry an exclusive Bluray steelbook packaging for it. Comedy murder mystery Game Night is next up today. This film sure surprised me! I really enjoyed it and while not all jokes landed, I laughed quite a bit in this one. There were lots of twists in this one too. I'll definitely add this to my collection this week. Scooby-Doo prequel film Daphne & Velma hits shelves today, with the girls solving their first mystery before meeting the rest of the gang. Jurassic Park is hiting iti 25th anniversay and to celebrate, all four films will be getting a full 4k Ultra HD release. Best Buy will carry an exclusive steelbook packaging for these releases as well as $15 movie money for next month's Jurassic World 2. Arrow Video releases 70's film Death Smiles on a Murderer for the first time on Bluray. I haven't heard of it but the premise seems interesting. Rounding out the week are action drama 15:17 to Paris, family film Early Man and fantasy film I Kill Giants. So what will you buy, rent or skip this week? Let us know in the comments.
