When was the last time you watched Behind the Mask? It was years before I re-watched it, and in that time I had grown a lot as a conscious person and well rounded horror fan. I had forgotten just how genius the script was. So when it was confirmed that the writer behind the man wearing the mask was coming on The Overlook Hour, I was ecstatic. But after a series of unfortunate events, henceforth dubbed The Nilo Curse, the interview portion of the episode was lost. But now, after a brief healing period, David is back for round two!
In this interview we get to know David, how he became a writer, the steps that lead to BTM, but the guys also talk about the lasting effects BTM, the terminology it created, and how that adds credibility to a genre so many people are quick to dismiss.
