January 24th 2017
Our favorite day of the week returns. This week is a really light one for sure. The main horror release today is The Monster. This was an interesting film full of symbolism that I look forward to re-watching sometime soon to catch things I might have missed the first time through. Also this week, Tom Hanks reprises his role in the third installment titled Inferno. Best Buy will carry an exclusive steelbook for it which is also apart of the Project Pop Art line. David Bowie fans can pick up the 40th anniversay deluxe set of The Man Who Fell to Earth. It's 3 discs filled with new bonus materials enclosed in a digi-book packaging. Again, light week for new releases but next week January goes out with a bang with lots of cool releases, so check back next week for those titles. Since it's Resident Evil, week I thought I'd add the newest installment to the survival horror games to the list. Resident Evil 7 hits shelves today on PS4 and The Xbox One consoles. I've played the demo and man it has definitely brought back the horror element with pretty creepy and effective jump scares. With the added VR capability, you can really put yourself into the game. Friday the final Resident Evil film hits theaters as well, I know the series is a miss for most but I thoroughly enjoy it and am looking forward to seeing how it all ends. So what will you buy, rent or just skip this week? Let us know in the comments. Until next week!
