September 5th 2017
I'm hoping everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend! Now it's back to work but at least we're getting more Blurays to add to our collections today. This week is full of supernatural horror films. Scream Factory this week releases A Dark Song, a indie supernatural thriller that keeps you guessing till the end. This officially is released later this year but for the time being is exclusive to Walmart stores. Also from Scream Factory is 70's horror film The Spell. The Spell sounds similar to Carrie in a way but this being a bullied girl who gets revenge using witchcraft. Continuing the ghost and supernatural releases this week is The Atoning which is a newer film that flew under the radar for me but I have recently seen advertisements on Instagram about it. Definitely one I look forward to supporting and checking out this week. On to the interesting title of the week we have 90's film Vampire Cop, another one that I haven't heard of but may be fun to watch with the Overlook creatures in the near future. Bigger titles releases of this week include All Eyez on Me, a biopic of the late great rapper Tupac Shakur that I missed in theaters and romp comedy Rough Night starring Scarlett Johanson. Rounding the week is TV shows hitting Bluray The Flash season 3 which has an exclusive steelbook only at Best Buy, and Supernatural season 12. Supernatural is renewed for a 13th season. It's definitely a great run for a horror themed show, 13 years strong and still may go on a few more seasons. So what will you buy, rent or just skip this week? Let us know in the comments We'd love to know. Until next week!
