We are less than two weeks away from Christmas and I hope everyone is at least partially prepared! This weekend is a little bare in the horror screenings category but we do have a couple related events, both of which are taking place tomorrow. The first one is Krampusmas, a Kramous themed art show which will run into the end of January, and the second is the Ultra Saturnalia Mistletoe Rock 'n Roll Show, which features our friend Kai of the Super Shangri-La Show.
Special mentions for this weekend include the Spike Jonze Tribute Triple Feature, presented by Midnites for Maniacs and Spoke Art, happening today at the New Parkway, and tomorrow at the Roxie, and the Roald Dahl inspired movies, which are playing at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

63 Bluxome St. Gallery
Starting December 17th at the 63 Bluxome Street Gallery there will be an exciting installation by over 30 Bay Area artists. On display will be an installation including Paintings, Drawings, Sculpture, and other crafts all depicting Santa Claus’ counterpart the “Krampus.”
The show will be showing from December 17th to January 28th.

Even a stellar performance by Harrison Ford as Allie Fox, an increasingly unbalanced inventor and crusader cannot make up for the downward slide at the end of this drama or for the need to probe a little further into the characters of Fox's son Charlie (River Phoenix) and his wife (Helen Mirren). After Fox's invention of an ice-making machine that runs without electricity is snubbed by the commercial world, he takes action on his disenchantment with materialistic, consumer-oriented American culture, sells his home, and moves to a fictional Caribbean island with his family. There he exhorts everyone to live off what nature provides and starts to set up his concept of an ideal environment. In the meantime, a pesky preacher on the island, capricious Mother Nature, and his family's growing discontent with his increasing obsessions are the first signs that this idyll is anything but.
