New month, new Bluray's released that are perfect for stocking stuffers this holiday season. One of my favorites of the year Better Watch Out hits shelves today from Well Go USA and is one of the easiest purchases for me this week. I went into this one blind and was thoroughly surprised. The Crucifixion is another blind watch I checked out earlier this year. It's a similar formula to the "based on true events" possession films but I enjoyed this one. I'd recommend a rent first before pulling the trigger on the purchase. Scream Factory releases classic Christmas horror film Silent Night, Deadly Night just in time for the holiday and with a much needed new scan. The Event Series revival of mystery thriller, Twin Peaks arrives today as well. Perfect in case you missed the run on Showtime recently, like myself. Best Buy out did themselves this week with many new Steelbook releases including animated film series Despicable Me 1-3, American Assassin, 90's classic Jumanji and more. The Jumanji Steelbook is a beauty I'm looking forward to owning. It's embossed and sleek with the cover resembling the board game. With the sequel / reboot hitting theaters soon, it's a great time to revisit. Rounding out this week Arrow Video releases a few titles for the first time on Bluray, The Premonition, The Witch That Came From The Sea and Malatesta's Carnival of Blood all with new scans and bonus material. So what will you be buying, renting, skipping or gifting this week? Let us know in the comments. Until next week!
