May 23rd 2017
Bluray Tuesday returns once more! Lots of great pickups to add to our growing collections today. My personal top two films of 2017 are released today and are highly recommended. The first one is Jordan Peele's Get Out and if you missed our review check it out here. I loved every bit of Get Out and look forward to its bonus features, especially the alternate ending. My second favorite film of the year so far is Logan, which is the Wolverine film we have been waiting for, and an amazing final film for Hugh Jackman. Logan will have a few retailer exclusives: Best Buy has an exclusive steelbook packaging and Target's version comes with an exclusive packaging and book. XX, an anthology horror directed by four different women in horror is next up this week. If you missed our review check it out here. Next up I wanted to highlight The Void, the Hellraiser-esque supernatural indie horror film. It's only available on bluray at Diabolik.com as a bluray exclusive. Everywhere else will only carry DVD. Many other indie films are hitting shelves this week as well. A couple standouts I'm interested in, Hack-O-Lantern, The Vagrant and Karate Kill, are all released for the first time on bluray and have intriguing synopsis's. So what will you be buying, renting or skipping this week? Let us know in the comments. Until next week!
