October 4th 2016
Bluray Tuesday returns and happy first week of October, the best month of the year! Halloween is just around the corner and today is a big release day for lots of horror films that will help get everyone in the holiday spirit. Scream Factory releases Chiller original film Fender Bender. A few Overlook creatures saw this recently and a review is on the way. The fourth movie in the Sharknado series storms onto shelves today. If you missed it when released on SyFy right now is perfect to catch up. With a potential TV series in development of The Purge, The Purge: Election Year releases today. You can get caught up on the film series before its spinoff show airs probably sometime in 2017. Check out our review here if you missed it. The Demolisher and All Through The House are definite blind buys this week I'm really looking forward to. Slashers and holiday horror films are a few of my favorite sub genres of horror, and I don't know too much about these films. Season 5 of American Horror Story (Hotel) and Penny Dreadful's third and final season are some of the TV on Bluray that also hits stores in time to marathon this holiday season. X-Men Apocalypse is the biggest budget film on the list today with a few retailer exclusives. Target comes with an exclusive yearbook packaging and Best Buy will carry an amazing steelbook packaging to finish off the X-Men steelbook series if you own the previous films in steelbook form. If you haven't picked up the awesome remaster of Stephen King's IT yet now is a good time. The original release a few weeks ago was a single disc bluray and today a deluxe edition is released with a DVD as well as a T-Shirt. So what will you be buying, renting or just skipping this week? Let us know in the comments and also check out our Facebook and Instagram pages. There is alot going on this month so check us out. Until next week!
