Bluray Tuesday: Featuring Happy Death Day, Blade Runner 2049 & The Snowman

January 16th 2018

New week means new Blurays to add to our collections. This week starts off with Blumhouse breakout hit Happy Death Day. I had a lot of fun with this film and can't wait to check out its bonus features. If you missed our review check it out here. Next up is the biggest release of the week, Blade Runner 2049. I have heard great things about this sequel, but I missed it in theaters this passed year so I'll definitely be adding it to my collection. Best Buy will carry an exclusive steelbook packaging for it as well. The Snowman hits shelves today and this is the pick of the week I'd recommend you rent first. With a great story and good actors attached, how can this go wrong? But sadly The Snowman falls flat. I almost want to give it another watch to accurately review the film. Rounding out the week is And Now The Screaming Starts & The Asylum from Severin, and 90's parody film Matinee from Shout Factory. So what will you buy, rent or just skip this week? Let us know in the comments. Until next week!

Happy Death Day: Amazon - $19.99

Tree Gelbman is a blissfully self-centered collegian who wakes up on her birthday in the bed of a student named Carter. As the morning goes on, Tree gets the eerie feeling that she's experienced the events of this day before. When a masked killer suddenly takes her life in a brutal attack, she once again magically wakes up in Carter's dorm room unharmed. Now, the frightened young woman must relive the same day over and over until she figures out who murdered her.
