Bluray Tuesday returns! This week there are definitely collection worthy pickups. First up is Wish Upon, if you missed our review of this check it out here. I personally liked this one and am looking forward to the unrated cut which has extended kills that were cut to get the PG-13 rating for theaters. Scream Factory releases the long awaited official release of The Poughkeepsie Tapes. This found footage film creeped the hell out of me! If you haven't seen it I'd recommend this one for sure. One of the highest reviewed and rated films of this year, Baby Driver, finally hits shelves with and exclusive steelbook only at Best Buy. If you like found footage horror, the second in the lineup is Open Water 3. This film is completely unrelated to the first two so no need to watch originals, but as far as quality it's not the best. I'd recommend renting it first or just checking it out on Netflix. The Lure, or as I call it a gruesome version of The Little Mermaid, gets a cool criterion release today. This one is a day one pickup for me, I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Rounding out this week is The Beguiled starring Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and The Neon Demon's Elle Fanning. The cast alone intrigued me and I went into this film blind and I loved it. It's a remake of a 70's Clint Eastwood film that was also based on a book about a man found in the woods wounded during the civil war who stays in an all girl school until healed and manipulates the lonely women who then turn on each other. I'd also recommend this one. So what will you buy, rent or skip this week? Lots of cool quality releases today. Also if you are shopping new releases at Target in store only use the Cartwheel App. You can get it on your phone's app store for free and use the 20% off all movies discount. The coupon is good the whole week, till Saturday the 14th, and can be applied to 5 Blurays or DVDs per transaction. I hope you all enjoy Friday The 13TH week! Until next week!
