We find ourselves at the foot of another weekend littered with great movies playing all over the bay area. Two new movies are kicking off their limited theatrical runs today, and we’re lucky to have one theatre screening each. The first is Dead Awake, which sounds like what I thought Rodney Ascher's The Nightmare was going to be. It’s playing at the 4 Star Theatre all weekend. The second is Hounds of Love, which starts at the Roxie tonight. I don’t know what to expect from the latter, but it definitely sounds great. And if you're looking for a potential mother's day movie outing to go to, the Alamo Drafthouse will be screening E.T. the Extraterrestrial in the morning both Saturday and Sunday.

Elliott often seems lonely and out of sorts, lost in his own world. One day, while looking for something in the back yard, he senses something mysterious in the woods watching him.
