Bluray Tuesday: Featuring Child's Play, Waxwork and Independence Day Resurgence

October 18th 2016

Our favorite day of the week returns. We are getting closer to Halloween and this week again is filled with many cool horror titles to add to your collections. Some definitely can help you get in the holiday spirit. Scream Factory releases Child's Play with a new 2K scan, loaded with new bonus features that just might make you want to double dip, especially for collectors like me that already own this in its complete collection boxset. Vesteron Video is on a roll with their third limited edition bluray, Waxwork / Waxwork 2, which is on bluray for the first time. I love how these are numbered on their spines. The first two released from this Lionsgate partnered company were Chopping Mall and Blood Diner. These were just released a few weeks ago and popped up at local Best Buys, so if you wanna collect these I'd get on it now before they go out of print and get pricey like the older Scream Factory titles with slips. Independence Day Resurgence also hits shelves today. I've heard mixed reviews during its run in the theaters but I look forward to checking out sometime this week. Best Buy will carry an exclusive steelbook packaging for this as well. Fans of Bates Motel can catch up on the complete fourth season which also checks in today. I am a bit behind and look forward to catching up. So what will you be buying, renting or skipping this week? Let us know in the comments and check out our Facebook and Instagram pages. We love the conversations and talking all things horror. Until next week!
