Creepy PastaMania!

A lot of people know how into Creepypasta I am and they usually wanna know about Slenderman or Jeff The killer... but mostly Slenderman. So today I am going to go into detail about the actual origins of three of the more famous Creepypasta characters.

First we'll start off with my favorite, and probably the least known of the three, The Rake. It also has the character people seem to take the most liberties with and change the source material of. Sometimes it just stands over you while you sleep and mentally scars those who wake up and see it. Or it's an omen of some disaster that's going to happen like the mothman. Other times it is more of a Slenderman type creature that goes out of its way to attack and kill people. But one of the best stories about it portrays it as godlike creature that creates a boy out of itself for a man who wanted a son...

The Rake
Author: Anon

Reading Time: 5 min and 23 seconds

Origin: The Rake like a lot of other creepypasta monsters started out on 4chans infamous /b when someone posted "hey /b let's make a new monster." It started off pretty much like a lame pale skin monster that we've seen done a million times and probably would have stayed that way if someone hadn't written the first creepypasta about it simply titled it The Rake.

Next on the list we have Jeff the Killer. Personally, I think most of the stories about him are god awful and the pic is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen.....BUT he is a big part of creepypasta lore and one of the most frequently asked about characters so I will discuss him here.

Jeff The Killer
Author: Sesseur

Reading Time: 17 min and 10 seconds

SynopsisJeff was a normal teen in a new neighborhood. When he and his brothers got bullied, Jeff snapped and and beat the hell out of the bullies. And when the cops showed up his brother takes the blame and goes to jail. Later Jeff and his parents go to a birthday party to try and get over things. The bullies show up and hold everyone at gun point. Jeff snaps, attacks them, and is winning till one of the sets him on fire. He wakes up in the hospital with pale leather skin and has a Joker moment. This is seriously how it's pretty much written and it's all thrown at you just as fast as I am doing it....While people have written some pretty good stories about him it's just so hard for me to get over the picture and the rip off Joker origin story.

Slenderman

Author: Unknown

Genre:

Reading Time: 3 min 25 seconds

Write-up: Last and certainly not least we have the bright shinning star of the Creepypasta world, Slenderman. It is a little weird to me how much media is being made about this character considering its humble origins as a simple photocontest picture. Unlike The Rake, fans of Slenderman will freak out if you try to change the way the character acts, so for the most part he is the same in all his stories. He prefers to go after kids but will stalk adults too. When he stalks adults he always uses fear and they get something called slender sickness which induces paranoia and other varying symptoms. This can go on for weeks. First they'll just see shadows or things in the corners of their eyes but he'll get closer and closer until he finally kills them. With kids, on the other hand, he usually presents himself as friendly and gains their trust that way, and rather than torture them he kills them right away.

I hope this gave a little insight into the characters. I know I didn't give too much information just the basics. If anyone wants to know anything more feel free to comment here and I'll answer. Lastly, I am going to leave you with a Slenderman vs Jeff story that is actually pretty damn good. It is for sure my favorite story to feature Jeff the Killer.
